       Daca în 2006, televiziunile romanesti introduceau continut video pe site-urile proprii, si puneau la dispozitie streaming-uri de vizionare live a transmisiunilor, in 2007 au aparut primele televiziuni exclusiv pe Internet. In paralel cu aceste fenomene au aparut din ce în ce mai multe portaluri, mai mult sau mai putin legale, ce colectioneaza linkuri catre streaming-uri pentru principalele posturi TV romanesti, dar si internationale.
